COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad: Admissions Fall 2010

COMSATS Institute of Information Technology has admissions open for Fall 2010 session to the following Master programs its Islamabad Campus.

Master in Islamic Banking and Finance (MIB)

The MIB program is aimed at helping learners develop knowledge and become capable workforce to move quickly in the Islamic Banking and Finance sector. Moreover, it facilitates learners to demonstrate the necessary skills to tackle problems within the complex world of International banking and Finance.

Furthermore, this 1½ year intensive program prepares and implements findings directed at the evaluation of corporate market investment and risk management.

Master in Project Management (MPM)

The MPM program has been introduced by CUT to help meet the rapidly expanding demand for Project Management professionals in government, nongovernment, business, and development sector organizations. This 1½ year intensive program is one of its kind in Pakistan that equips professionals with the basic as well as advance project management techniques.

The program enables professionals to get involved in the improved systems methodology on project selection, planning, implementation, controlling, evaluation and termination.

Master in Energy Management (MEM)

The MEM program is being introduced to meet up the growing need of energy management professionals in Pakistan. In order to fulfill these needs in the public and private sectors as well as non-government organizations and the development agencies.

This 1½ year program incorporates extensive curriculum to nurture the students and provide them with in-depth knowledge to confront the challenges for tomorrow.

Master in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MEI)

The MEI program is being introduced to train individuals for establishing organizations based on some business rules and latest technological knowledge. This 1½ year master degree is offered especially for those who are interested in combing their science background with innovation.

The degree attendees will further be supported by Business Development Centre (BDC) that allows potential young entrepreneurs to nurture their budding ideas into reality.

Masters in Business Administration (1.5 Years) MBA

The MBA program seeks to provide an advanced level academic background to the BSBA/BBA graduate (four years) and is aimed at accelerating their professional and/or managerial skills. It gives more impetus to the development of competency in a major functional area chosen by the students.

The teaching mechanism and curriculum of this program focus on developing analytical and practical decision-making skills required of top and mid level executives in national as well as multinational organizations.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum of sixteen years education in a relevant subject: Business Administration, Computer Sciences, IT, Economics, Engineering, Natural Sciences, Public Administration and Policy, and Development Studies.
• Excellent English Communication Skills.
• NTS-GAT test score of minimum 50% or five year professional expertise.

• Last Date for Submission of Applications: September 1, 2010
• Schedule for NTS-GAT Test: September 6, 2010
• List of Selected Candidates: September 9, 2010
