Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam, has invited applications from the young, energetic, and dynamic candidates (male and female) including faculty members of Sindh Agriculture University for award of overseas scholarships under project titled “Strengthening and Development of Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam”.
The candidates may apply in any discipline related to Crop Production, Crop Protection, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, Agricultural Engineering and Agricultural Social Sciences. However, preference will be given to the candidates applying in the following disciplines:
- Agronomy
- Plant Cell and Molecular Biology
- Entomology
- Plant Pathology
- Plant Protection
- Bioinformatics
Eligibility Criteria
- Pakistani national with Sindh domicile.
- Candidates must have minimum sixteen years of education in relevant discipline.
- First division or 3.00 CGPA out of 4 in Bachelor / Master’s degree in relevant fields.
- Not more than two second divisions in the entire academic career.
- No third division or D grade in the entire academic career.
- Maximum age on closing date i.e. February 06, 2012:
- 40 years for full time regular faculty members of public sector universities/colleges and employees of the public sector R&D organizations.
- 35 years for all other candidates.
- The candidates must have cleared local GRE General type test as per Higher Education Commission (HEC) criteria by due date of application.
- The applicant is required to have secured more than 50 marks in GRE/GAT.
- Preference will be given to the candidates who have secured admission in HEC recognized foreign university.
- The candidates are encouraged to seek admission in accredited universities in Eastern European or South Asian countries.
General
- The applicants who are presently employed should send their applications through proper channel, however, advance copies of applications duly supported by copies of academic documents including transcripts will be accepted provisionally.
- A bank demand draft/postal orders for Rs.1,000 as processing fee in favor of Director Finance, Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam, be furnished with the application form which can be downloaded from SAU website.
- Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the Joint Selection Team.
- Selected candidates will have to execute Agreement Bond to serve Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) and to submit the Surety Bond before joining the program as per university rules.
- Scholarship awardees under other schemes of the HEC/SAU need not apply.
- Fresh applicants selected for award will have to serve SAU for a minimum period of five years on return.
- Incomplete and belated applications will not be considered.
Last date for submission of applications is February 06, 2012.
