Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Shaheed Benazirabad, invites applications for award of full Ph.D. Scholarships (Indigenous / Overseas) under the project “Development of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Shaheed Benazirabad” (sponsored by HEC) in the following areas:
- Mathematics
- Education
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Zoology
- Botany
- Economics
- English Language
- Commerce
- Pakistan Studies
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 16 years of education in the relevant field of study. 18 years of education will be preferred.
- First division or equivalent CGPA in the last degree as per the requirements.
- No 3rd division / D grade in the career is allowed.
- Only one 2nd division in the entire career will be allowed.
- Maximum age should be 35 years. Age can be relaxed up to 40 years only for regular employees of the public sector universities and R&D institutions.
- Candidates already availing Higher Education Commission (HEC), university or any other scholarship are not eligible.
- Scholarship will be awarded to candidate in discipline in which he / she has earned B.Sc. / M.Sc. and / or M.Phil. degree.
- An awardee will not change the course of studies as specified by the awardee in the application form or in the letter of award.
- An awardee will not hold any other scholarship / stipend during the fellowship period of his / her studies.
- Awardees must serve Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Shaheed Benazirabad, for at least 5 years after completion of the studies and will have to execute a surety bond in this regard.
- GRE (General) / GAT with minimum 80% scores.
- In-service candidates working in government, semi-government and autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel. Advance copies will be entertained. However, the NOC from the organization must be provided on or before the interview.
Selection Procedure
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview without TA/DA.
- Selected candidate other than Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Shaheed Benazirabad, faculty members will be offered faculty position and he / she should be expected to join within 4 weeks of issuance of appointment letter.
- Visa arrangements will also be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
- Successful candidate will execute a bond with Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Shaheed Benazirabad, for minimum 05 years to serve.
Last Date for Submission of Applications
Application Form is available in the office of the Registrar, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Shaheed Benazirabad.
Candidates are required to fill in the form and mail at the address given below along with a bank draft / postal order of Rs.800 (non-refundable) in favor of Director Finance, SBBU, SBA as application / processing fee.
The applications completed in all respects must reach the office of Registrar latest by April 21, 2012.
Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
The university reserves the rights not to consider any application or withdraw any post without giving any reason.
Note:
The university is not responsible if Call Letters are delayed or not received due to any lapse of courier agency / post office / telephonic message.
Those who have already applied along with GAT/GRE result, need not to apply again, as their already submitted applications will be entertained.
Those who have submitted an advance copy (without GAT/GRE Result) should submit the GAT/GRE result only (if passed by April 21, 2012).
