Wah Engineering College: Admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate for Fall 2010

Wah Engineering College has invited applications for admission to the following undergraduate B.Sc. Engineering and postgraduate MS/Ph.D. programs for Fall 2010.

The College is chartered by the Government of the Punjab and accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

Undergraduate B.Sc. Engineering programs

  1. Mechanical Engineering
  2. Electrical Engineering
  3. Mechatronics Engineering
  4. Chemical Engineering
  5. Civil Engineering

Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc. Engineering programs

  • F.Sc. (Pre-Engineering) or equivalent with at least 60% marks.
  • DAE with 1st division, in relevant technology from an institute recognized by the Government.
  • Entry test for all candidates will be held at University of Wah. However, UET entry test result is acceptable and such candidates will be exempted from entry test.
  • Merit will be determined on the basis of 70% F.Sc. marks and 30% entry test marks.

Postgraduate MS/Ph.D. programs

Applications for admission are invited for the following postgraduate Engineering programs:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering

MS Eligibility Criteria

  • Four years BE degrees in the relevant discipline with CGPA of 2.5 / 4 or 60% marks.
  • At least 50% score in CAT (General) by NTS and UW University of Wah Entry Test.

Ph.D Eligibility Criteria

  • Master’s degree in the relevant area equivalent to 8 years of education with a CGPA of at least 3.0/4.0, or equivalent.
  • GRE (International) Subject Test with upper 60 percentile. Provisional admission may be given till passing GRE.

Admission Schedule

  • Prospectus available for Rs.1,000 from August 18, 2010. Forms can also be downloaded from the university’s website; www.wecuw.edu.pk.
  • Last date for submission of application forms along with requisite documents to Chairman Admission Committee, Wah Engineering College, Quaid Avenue, Wah Cantt: September 24, 2010
  • Date of entry test at Wah Engineering College, University of Wah: September 26, 2010 at 1100 hours.

  4. there was no management involved in entry test and there was cheating on the back side of hall the merit list will just be a fake for the students

    I have got 75% marks in fsc,now i admission in civil or elect depart in wah uni,.but sir i wana know abt its finance…tht how its expense..plz inform me soon and when admission will be start in 2011 session

  8. The CIVIL and the CHEMICAL departments are not recognized by PEC .The rest are recognized by PEC.

  9. 1.WEC has been recognized by PEC.
    2.It is not affiliated with UET taxila anymore.
    3.if you want an admission then dont think whether you CAN OR CAN NOT appear in the test, simply apply by visiting the official website http://www.wecuw.edu.pk/ and download the form..
    4.There is fee concession for the children of POF employees…so there would also be a concession of fee for POF employees as well.
    5.As WEC is a new institution so the merit is comparatively low.Therefore those who have achieved less marks in fsc may also have a chance of admission.

    I was a boy artisan in pof but now i am skilled.
    i have got 68% marks in FSc .I do belong from Abbottabad.kindly tell me that may i appear in entry test of wec ,and is there any special seats laid for pof employees.and is there any relaxation in fee for pof employees.
