GC University Faisalabad: Distance Learning Admissions for Fall Semester 2012

GC University, Faisalabad, has notified of admissions to undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate courses, at Directorate of Distance Learning Education, for Fall Semester 2012.

Undergraduate Courses

  • BCom (2-year)
  • BBA (4-year)
  • BBA Banking and Finance (4-year)

Eligibility

  • Intermediate or equivalent with minimum 45% marks from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education of Punjab and Pakistan will be considered for admission.
  • In case of A Level, the equivalence certificate from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), Islamabad shall be required.

Business Administration Courses

  • MBA (3½-year)
  • MBA Banking and Finance (3½-year)
  • MPA (2-year)

Eligibility

  • The candidates who have passed BA / BSc / BCom or equivalent examination will be considered for admission for respective programs.
  • Candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate.

Graduate Courses

  • MSc Economics (2-year)
  • MSc Mathematics (2-year)
  • MCom (2-year)
  • MA English (2-year)
  • MA Islamic Studies (2-year)
  • B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education (1-year)
  • M.Ed. / M.Ed. Special Education (1-year)

Eligibility

  • The candidates who have passed BA / BSc / BCom or equivalent examination will be considered for admission for respective programs (excluding MA English).
  • Candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  • B.Ed. with 2nd division is required for Admission in M.Ed. and M.Ed. Special Education.

Postgraduate Courses

  • M.Phil. Education (2-year)
  • M.Phil. Islamic Studies (2-year)

Eligibility

  • MA / MSc (4-years education after FA / FSc, minimum 130 credit hours) or equivalent degree in the relevant field from Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized institution. At least 50% marks (under annual system) or 2.5 CGPA (under semester system) will be compulsory for admission to MS / MPhil programs.
  • Clearance of GAT (General) test by National Testing Service (NTS) is the pre-requisite. Students who are appearing in NTS test on October 17, 2012 can also apply.

Prospectus

Prospectus is available at the following bank branches in Faisalabad on payment of Rs.400.

  1. National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Jinnah Colony branch (GC University Booth)
  2. Bank of Punjab, Kutchehry Bazar, Faisalabad (GC University Booth)

Candidates can also download Admission Form from the university website and attach a bank draft of Rs.400 in favor of Treasurer, GC University Faisalabad.

Last date for submission of forms: October 10, 2012

Note:

  • All gender having domicile of Punjab are eligible for admission.
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) is required from the candidates, who have passed BA / BSc / BCom / MA / MSc or equivalent examination from institutions other than GC University, Faisalabad.
  • The Admission Forms complete in all respects should reach the Directorate of Distance Learning Education of GC University Faisalabad by October 10, 2012 during office hours.
  • University reserves the right to refuse admission to any candidate without assigning any reason.
