IBA Karachi: Admissions to BBA Program for 2011

Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, has announced opening of admissions to a new, revamped BBA program as a well-rounded bachelor degree program that meets global challenges.

Graduates from this BBA program will be able to enter the job market as Management Trainees, or equivalent in corporate houses.

Now students may choose from a variety of electives to major in Entrepreneurship (newly introduced), Finance, Human Resource Management (HRM), Marketing or Management Information Systems.

Admissions Criteria

Applicants must meet any of the following:

• Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) with minimum 65% marks
• A Level with at least two Bs and one C across three principal subjects
• American High School Diploma with minimum 80%
• International Baccalaureate with minimum 30 out of 45 points

Candidates with SLAT scores exceeding 1900 will be exempted from IBA’s Aptitude Test but will be required to obtain the admit cards and participate in the group discussion and interview.

Please click on the “Online Admission 2011” link on Institute of Business Administration’s website. A valid e-mail address is necessary to fill the online application form. Application processing fee is Rs.3,000.

The Aptitude Test will be held in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta and Peshawar.

Scholarships

Institute of Business Administration follows a need-blind admission policy. IBA offers merit-based scholarships to top ten percent scorers of the Aptitude Test. Numerous need-based loans and scholarships are also available.

Important Dates

• Application Deadline: Monday, June 20, 2011
• Collection of Admit Cards (From City Campus): June 14-20, 2011
• Aptitude Test: Sunday, June 26, 2011
• Classes Commence: Tuesday, September 6, 2011
