University of the Punjab, Gujranwala Campus has invited applications on prescribed forms for admission to the following regular Morning and Afternoon (self supporting) programs for the year 2010:
- LL.B., (3 years, annual system)
Eligibility: BA/B.Sc./B.Com. (IT) with at least 2nd division.
- M.Sc. (I.T., 2 years, 4 semesters)
Eligibility: At least 50% marks or grade C in BCS/B.Com./B.Sc. (Engineering)/ BA/B.Sc. with elective Mathematics/Statistics/ Computer Sciences or equivalent qualifications.
- BBA (Hons) (4 years, 8 semesters) leading to MBA
- B.Com. (Hons) (4 years, 8 semesters) leading to M.Com.
Eligibility: Intermediate or equivalent qualification with at least 2nd division.
- BS (I.T) (Hons) (4 years, 8 semesters)
Eligibility: At least 50% marks in ICS/F.Sc (Pre-Eng)/F.Sc (Pre-Medical) with additional Math / A Level with Math or equivalent qualification or 60% marks in DAE in relevant discipline.
The eligibility is as per Higher Education Commission (HEC) criteria.
Admission Criteria for LL.B. and M.Sc. (I.T) programs
Merit for admission will be determined on the basis of academic record according to the following order of preference:
- Annual 2010 and Supplementary 2009
- Annual 2009 and Supplementary 2008
- Annual 2008 and Supplementary 2007
Admission Criteria for Bachelor Degree programs
2 % deduction per year from overall %age of marks will be made for the candidates who passed their last examination in previous years.
The maximum age limit is 24 years for Bachelors degree programs and 26 years for Masters degree programs for the Morning Classes. There shall be no condition of age limit and passing year for Afternoon classes.
The prospectus for all above programs are available from office of the Gujranwala Campus from August 30, 2010 during office hours on payment of Rs.450.
Admission forms, complete in all respects as mentioned in the prospectus, should reach the reception office Gujranwala Campus by 3:30 PM on or before September 17, 2010. Admissions forms received through postal/courier service after due date and time will not be entertained.
The applicants for the Reserve Seats should apply on the separate form along with the relevant documents issued by the concerned authorities.
Admissions will be made strictly on merit
The applicants seeking admission to postgraduate classes, who have passed their graduation from universities other than Punjab University, are required to submit a Migration Certificate from that university and the applicants seeking admission to graduate classes who have passed their intermediate or equivalent examination from a Board situated outside the territorial jurisdiction of University of the Punjab, are required to submit NOC from the respective Board with the admission forms.
The candidates who have passed O Level or A level examinations or obtained any degree from private or public university other than University of the Punjab are required to submit the Equivalence Certificate issued by IBCC or University of the Punjab respectively with Admissions Forms.

- First Merit List:
All Morning Programs (22nd September, 2010)
All Afternoon Programs (7th October, 2010)
- List of the candidates selected against “Reserved seats” will be displayed on October 12, 2010.
- Original documents are required to be submitted to the University authorities before obtaining challan form for deposit of dues and the same will be retained for verification.
Hostel accommodation and university transport will not be available.
